A fifth album

Fans want new music and Simple Plan have been talking about making a fifth album.

In 2011 they released their fourth album Get Your Heart On! and for the album over 70 songs were written. What about the songs that didn't make it to the record? Well, hopefully an EP will be released in the first half of 2013 to give the fans what they want - new music.

A few new shows have been announced on www.simpleplan.com and hopefully they'll come back to tour Europe before they start writing on their fifth album. Rumor has it that it might be released in late 2014, early 2015

Come back to keep yourself updated about the latest news!

Canadian Tour dates

Marianas Trench's drummer Ian had a Q&A yesterday and answered tour related questions only. He confirmed that there will be a Canadian Tour coming up shortly and dates will be released in the following days.

The band have other plans this year and it seems to include shows in the US as well as in the UK. Hopefully Marianas Trench will explore the rest of the world one day and to make it happen, we gotta help them.

Request their songs on your local radio stations and talk about them!

New music video coming up!

Simple Plan's latest single is called This Song Saved My Life and a music video is in the editing stage at the moment. Director David F. Mewa confirmed that the video will be released before February arrives.

This is a song that's written by the fans and for the fans and the music video will therefore also include fans. The director asked fans from all over the world to submit videos and send pictures to be a part of this project. We've been told that one part will have sign language as well. This truely is a song for everyone!

Don't forget to request This Song Saved My Life on your local radio station.

Simple Plan kicking off the NHL premiere

Tonight is a special night for two reasons.

Simple Plan will play a free show to kick off the NHL premiere tonight at Bell Centre Montreal, Canada and for the first time only four out of five band members will go on stage to perform. Simple Plan's guitarrist Sébastien Lefebvre couldn't make it but don't worry, Seb told the fans through Twitter that everything is fine.
